Ah, YouTube. The video encyclopedia of our century.
And a repository of many things Corvette. Not sure we agree with the theme of the music choice. BUT, a very neat montage of vintage racing Corvettes, as Corvette Racing heads to Lime Rock.
well it lookis like corvette racing is flirting with that disaster 2010 style, week after week corvette keeps getting their ass kjcked by officials and all competitors. what's up with that s**t... come on corvette racing get you heads out of your ass...

Incredibly disappointing season for a diehard C6-R fan. I keep waiting for this team to turn the corner, but it never happens. Actually each race seems to bring some new shenanigans. Time for a shakeup??

I think this is what happens when you have some (ok, a lot of) competition.

It looks like a ton of bad luck race after race to me

I agree with Steve. While Corvette dominated GT1, there was little to no competition. I think GT2 is a lot tougher than we all thought it would be. There are 2 problems - the speed and handling seem to favor Ferrari and Prosche at this point and there have been some mistakes and bad luck. The key to sportscar endurance racing is finishing the race.

Fehan said that this would be a shakedown year, give them a chance!

OK here's the ugly truth: Sebring= 2 cars pitlane crash Laguna = stop & go penalty LeMans = 2 blown engines Utah = stop & go penalty Limerock = stop & go plus crash. When will it be fun to watch? At least the Callaway team in FIA GT-3 has it together...

People need to remeber someting when corvette racing first started, they didn't come in and started wining races. They learn about the classes (GT2/GTO/GTS,GT1), once they did the rest is history.

Sorry guys, this team has been too good for too long to make excuses for. I know the cars are new, but they are still GT Corvettes. They know the tracks by heart, and they know the teams they are racing against. Maybe they are used to being so good for so long that they expect to win? I don't know, but this is not the same Corvette team it used to be. I still can't believe a CORVETTE was chased down and ran away from by 2 BMWs. Something ain't right here . . . .

Yes! this has been a tough year for corvette, but you can't expect to come in to a class where porsche and ferrari have been working for several years and dominate. It takes time to develop a car to fit the new gt2 class. A true fan will stick by his team through the good times as well as the bad ones. To be the best one has to take risks, and those risks have consequences, better try to be great and fail than be an average racer always playing the safe route. That's the excitement of gt racing. Keep going corvette, things will turn around

One interesting stat on the timing sheet is #4 had the second Fastest lap of the entire race. Are they holding back or unsure of the endurance of the 5.5 engine?

Part of the problem is that they were expected to be so much more competitive that maybe they are being handicapped by too much weight and restriction. BMW does not even have a legal car , they were granted many suspension concessions, and they are far more competitive than the Corvette. But it is obvious these cars are not powerful enough as constructed.....only at Lemans did they have the topend, and enough power to pull out and pass. The Porsches and Ferraris are running them down and pulling away. And for sure they no longer have a pit advantage. There is a lot of work to be done here in GT2.

Work needs to be done. BMW has not been in GT2 very long and seem to be doing fine.
